UTRdb

A curated database of 5' and 3' untranslated sequences of eukaryotic mRNAs

Welcome to UTRdb

Current releases: Ensembl (107) + Ensembl genomes (54)

The 5' and 3' untranslated regions of eukaryotic mRNAs play crucial roles in the post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression through the modulation of nucleo-cytoplasmic mRNA transport, translation efficiency, subcellular localization and message stability.
UTRdb is a curated database of 5' and 3' untranslated sequences of eukaryotic mRNAs derived from several sources of primary data.
In the current update UTRdb entries are now enriched with additional specialized annotations, which include occurrences of RFAM regulatory elements, highly conserved blocks, Internal Ribosome Entry Sites, experimentally validated miRNAs targets, repetitive elements, polyA signals, RNA editing sites, polymorphisms, orthologues, and others.
This version of UTRdb also includes a custom utility to display genes and UTRs in their genomic context and a graphical representation of their annotations.
